Ignoring the problem will not make it go away. You may find that you are able to come to an understanding with your agent or owner if your inability to pay rent is only temporary.

Communication is essential in these circumstances and it is important for you to continue to keep your agent informed of your circumstances.
If you don’t communicate with your agent your agent may issue a termination notice if your rent is over 14 days in arrears.

The best way is to arrange a payment plan where you pay a little extra on top of your weekly rent until the arrears are paid.
