Urban Land & Housing Group – Landlord Tips – Should my agent take photo’s at the ingoing?

Should my agent take photo’s at the ingoing inspection?

Yes!! It is very important that the agent takes as many photo’s as possible at the ingoing inspection as they can be very useful should there be any disagreements with the tenants when they vacate.

At ULH we make sure we take a lot of photos and they are printed and kept in the file along with the photo’s being stored on the computer for future reference.

We also recommend to tenants that they take photos of any damage they might see when they move in to avoid having any blame placed on them when they vacate.

The photo’s can also be used as evidence should a matter ever go to the tribunal.

If you need any further advice please feel free to give me a call.

Cheers Jess
