Less properties advertised for rent

Interesting news for Landlords and Tenants alike – according to RP Data in their latest figures

“The number of new rental listings fell by -4.8% nationally last week and by -5.3% in the capital cities. Despite the fall, new rental listings are 40.5% higher than last year nationally and 37.6% higher in the capital cities. Total rental listings fell by -1.5% last week both nationally and across the combined capital cities. Total rental listings are 27.9% higher than last year nationally and 25.2% higher across the capital cities”

We are always interested to know how these figures are compiled especially the ‘new rental listings’. We have noticed that there has been some easing in rental demand over the last month or so however still remains very strong.

Cheers
