Many landlords have the question if they install solar panels on their investment property do they still get the rebate?

At the present time, 9% of Australian houses have installed solar panels and, as we move into a renewable energy future, this number is bound to rise. However, for some landlords and tenants in NSW, the switch to solar has thrown an added complication into the rental process.

Unfortunately for landlords in NSW the tenant is responsible to pay the electricity therefore who ever is on the electricity bill is entitled to the rebate, so generally speaking the tenant will have the bill in their name and therefore they will be entitled to the rebate not the landlord.
